Capital Improvement

The 1975 Bankruptcy of the Roxborough Park Metropolitan District left the District void of the financial ability to construct the entire infrastructure that was planned in 1972 and ultimately needed to provide the highest level of service for its residents.

The District has been working for many years trying to complete the missing and inadequate facilities.  The District took a huge step toward completion of the 1972 planned infrastructure for Roxborough in 2009.  The two remaining water storage tanks were completed which provides adequate water storage for fire flow and service in each of the 4 pressure zones in the service area.

Most of the remaining and future capital projects that are needed come in the form of replacement.  The list below provides a brief insight to the nature and magnitude of the future Capital Improvements Program:

Water Capital Improvements

  • New Water Treatment Plant or Two new Pump Stations connected to Denver Water
  • Pump Station Upgrades
  • Generators at each Pump Station
  • Water Line replacements  (various areas)
  • Mixer for the Zone 4 Tank

Wastewater Capital Improvements

  • Odor Control Facilities
  • Sewer Line replacements (various areas)
